The Alameda County Fair

Yeehaw! We went to the Alameda County Fair yesterday to see the pigs (not all the pigs were this lethargic, I even got to see Strawberry win the Alaskan Pig Race)and the sheep (don't let them bite your finger off, Polly!), to milk the cows, groom the horses, and to practice driving a tractor for when we turn four and can enter the kids tractor pull. And if you think making your kid try to drag 150 lbs of weight with a tractor shaped tricycle sounds fun, you should definitely check out the mutton bustin'. Fortunately we were too tired to stop and watch, because Polly might have just snuck under the fence and jumped right on. Unfortunately for her, due to insurance concerns, you can't actually place your child on a wild sheep and ask them to cling to the fur for dear life until he or she has reached the age of three.
