Apple picking and other adventures

Last weekend we headed up to Sebastopol for some apple picking adventures. On the way there, we stopped at one of mommy and daddy's favorite streets in the Bay Area - where almost every house has an amazing junk yard statue - like this one where the dog's nose is made out of a mail box!
After a stroll down that street we got down to the business of apple picking -
with only a few breaks for playing
and eating.
 It was quite a job.
We picked our weight in apples!
After all that effort we rewarded ourselves with a visit to the Sebastopol Renaissance Fair! We were disappointed that we didn't know about it ahead of time because we definitely would have dressed up, but fortunately there were opportunities to learn useful medieval art forms such as fencing.
I have already found these skills quite useful on the yard at school.
