The real bummer of Eliza getting sick was missing a LOT of end of the
year fun from Eliza's choral recital and preschool Father's Day
extravaganza to our family reunion in NY and our much anticipated trip to Sea Ranch with the Bordier-Morandiere's.
We'd been growing the idea
of getting together with Lea
and Farah for YEARS
but only Polly and Daddy got to see them in the end.
We made the best of it with some adventurous hikes,
dashes through the forbidden forest,
flower picking,
cliff gawking,
seal watching,
bubble making,
xylofence playing,
fort exploring,
and simple fox and deer viewing from our living room (inspiring tales of "Mosha" the flying baby deer that eats bad guys),
but it just wasn't the same without all of us there.
Great to see you guys! We'll just have to do it again sometime/somewhere soon when everyone is healthy so Eliza can have as much fun playing with Lea and Farah as Polly did!

yep too bad we couldn't get the 8 of us together but hey life will come up with new opportunities .

Here, getting back to normal took us a few days after all those adventures !

All is back to normal again but it was a scary and trying couple of days! Guess we'll just have to come visit in France one of these days...
