In what might have to become an annual tradition, Daddy, Papa, Elena, Polly and I got bundled up (and fabulous)
and went to the local race track this morning so Mommy could cook. The first race was a bust as 'Trappers Star' (#2 in the foreground) came from behind to edge 'Perfect Fashion' by a nose
so we had to tear up our tickets
but my first ever horse betting victory came on the backs of the 2-yr-old Filly 'Unbridled Joule' at 6-1 odds in the third post.
Encouraged, we put our remaining $4 on the quinella bet and WON as 'Castinette Dancer' and 'Glorious Dancer' finished 1-2! (see, dancers are the best)
All told, $10 in = $25 in winnings. I might be hooked.
